With a five to one split decision, the Board of Zoning Appeals denied our request for a zoning variance on August 19. The Zoning Board noted that there was a great deal of support and opposition for the plan. Thank you for your overwhelming support. While we will not move forward with the the 2200 East Genesse project, our Co-op is now in a stronger position for our relocation effort. We have many other opportunities to pursue, and want to assure you that we will continue to move forward with plans to relocate the Co-op.

On August 26th, we will be hosting a forum to discuss our ongoing pursuit of expansion for the Co-op. The forum will be held at the Westcott Day Habilitation Center at 6:00pm. Please join us to hear General Manager, Travis Hance discuss our next steps. Thank you again for your support.

Board of Zoning Appeals to vote August 19th

This week, we reached another important milestone in our expansion process. Our variance application was heard by the board of zoning appeals. Thank you all so much for your support, The board will vote on our appeal August 19th. More news then. We want to let you all know that whatever the outcome of that decision, we will find the co-op is on stronger ground for our relocation effort. While the Genesee street site is extremely appealing, there are other opportunities for us to pursue. Thank you all for your letters of support.
