October 18, 1999, 8:30am. SRFC’s future General Manager begins his first shift at the co-op as a cashier. Ten years later Travis leads a team of twenty staff members and manages a thriving, successful Co-op. Over his tenure at the Co-op, Travis has seen many changes. He is most excited about our upcoming change: expansion to a bigger store!
Ryan Gorham
Front End/Operations Manager

‘The answer is Yes.’ These are the words we often hear from Ryan. (And we really love those words!) Having a strong background in customer service, Ryan began working at the Syracuse Real Food Co-op in 2004. Since then, he has developed his role as a leader and stepped into a management position as our Front End/Operations Manager. Ryan leads our outstanding team of cashiers; training them in customer service, cash handling and cashiering procedures. He’s also our Operations Manager and deals with behind-the-scene issues like information services and POS operations.
Amanda Gormley
Member-Owner Service Coordinator/Marketing Manager

Having a strong affinity towards whole food and community, Amanda stumbled on her first food co-op while in college at SUNY Potsdam. Since then she developed her appreciation for responsible food while working for local dairy and yogurt producer, Wake Robin Farm. That’s how she found us and applied for the position she holds now! Amanda started at the Co-op in May, 2009. As the Member-Owner Service Coordinator she has been working to develop valuable services for Co-op owners – like our Community Connections Program. Amanda is also our Marketing Manager, working to keep you informed about what’s happening at the Co-op through our website, newsletter (The New Leaf), and e-news mailings.
Brad Stone
Produce Manager

In 2008, the Co-op bought over $68,000 of produce from local farmers. Each year that number grows, thanks to our produce manager, Brad Stone. Brad and his produce team work with CNY farmers and producers to ensure that the Co-op is supporting their needs and supplying our shoppers with the highest quality local produce available.

Merchandising Manager

Linda comes to us with a full background of culinary experience, having worked in the food industry as a chef for a number of years. Linda’s wealth of food knowledge and enthusiasm for whole foods, as well as respect for the community makes Linda a great addition to the Syracuse Real Food Co-op management team.
